Four teenagers have been jailed for luring a transgender teenager to a roller disco to ‘viciously’ stab and beat her.
The 18-year-old victim, who lives with ‘thick scars’ and still struggles to sleep, only survived the attack last February 10 because passersby stopped to help her.
The group of teens lured her to a roller disco in Harrow, north west London, under the impression that she had been invited to a party.
Instead they punched, kicked, and stamped on her, stabbing her nine times, all the while shouting transphobic slurs at her.
Summer Betts-Ramsey, 20, who carried out the stabbing, was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in youth detention, of which four-and-a-half must be served in custody.
Bradley Harris, Camron Osei, and Shiloh Hindes, all 18, were sentenced to three years in youth detention.
A fifth teenager, a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a youth rehabilitation order.
All five members of the group admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while Betts-Ramsey also admitted possession of a knife.
