As we approach the end of 2024, a number of extraordinary people from Gloucestershire have been named on the King’s New Year Honours List. The list celebrates the service and achievements of people from across the country.
It includes public health professionals, charity founders and animal conservationists. Among those honoured this year is Nicholas Charles Gazzard.
He founded the Hollie Gazzard Trust after the brutal murder of his daughter. Hollie was just 20 when she was killed by her ex-partner in Gloucester but Nick has remained positive by keeping her legacy alive.
Also on the honours list is Dr Tracey Anne Cooper, the Chief Executive of Public Health Wales NHS Trust, and Peter Charles Gibbons BEM, the Chief Security Officer of Network Rail. Christopher Stephen Joseph Coley has also been honoured for his services to Sport Administration and to the community in Gloucestershire.
