A man who helped stab one of Britain’s most famous models to death has joined a dating site from behind bars to chat up women.

Jonathan Okigbo was jailed for 14 years in 2018 for the murder of Harry Uzoka, who is considered to be Britain’s most successful ever black male model.

He helped bring knives and a machete to his friend George Koh, who then stabbed Harry after becoming increasingly jealous of his career.

Despite being behind bars, Okigbo has managed to set himself up on dating app Hinge and on Facebook, where he has contacted numerous unsuspecting women.

The former personal trainer’s profile shows him posing with workout gear in front of cross-trainer machines at a gym inside his prison, MailOnline reports.

But women have caught onto his unusual online habits, and he was outed on Facebook page ‘Are we dating the same guy?’ where people warn each other about problematic men.

One post reads: ‘I went to college with him. He was very social, didn’t seem to have a problem with anyone. A very likable guy and last year we matched on Hinge.

‘We were speaking for a few days, I didn’t think anything of it given the fact I somewhat knew him until he told me he’s in prison for manslaughter.

‘When he told me he almost seemed proud of what he had done. I Googled his name and the articles that came up were horrific. I couldn’t speak to him again after that, obviously.’

Another anonymous woman added: ‘Please explain how you meet someone inside and they are allowed phones.

‘Omg this is scary, so scary, that someone in jail can have access to the outside world.’

Okigo has already served the first half of his sentence and will be able to apply for parole later this year.

But the use of mobile phones, which are considered contraband, behind cell doors may mean he will not be released.

The Ministry of Justice said: ‘We will always pursue the strongest possible punishment for those found with contraband phones, including extra time behind bars.’

Okigbo was also caught with a mobile phone in 2019, when he posted selfies online showing off his gym workouts.

Harry’s mother Josephine Jackson has questioned how Okigbo is in possession of a mobile phone anyway.

Paying tribute to her son, she said: ‘Your short life enriched the lives of so many. You inspired so many people and touched them with your love. You will never be forgotten, my wonderful boy.

‘Until Harry’s life was taken away from us we were a normal happy family. Harry was progressing well with his life and career.

‘He was an inspiration to me and his brother, Edmond. He brought so much positivity and hope to us.

‘His departure has left a gaping hole, a void and a crack in the family. We are all still finding it very difficult to cope with.’
