They had informed the Liverpool ECHO that one of these includes abiding by Highway Code rule 229, which mandates: “You must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows”. This includes your mirrors as well, necessitating that drivers assure all are transparent and fully de-misted.

Check and replace worn windscreen wipers
To ensure continued visibility amidst rain, snow, and ice, ensure to examine your windscreen wipers for any tears or rigidity in the rubber – replacing them promptly if necessary.
Check your tyres
It’s key to check your tyres for any irregularities and confirm that they are inflated to the suggested pressures. Should they not be, such discrepancies can affect braking distances and the feel of steering.
If your vehicle has been stationary for a while, you might notice a slight vibration due to potential flat spots in the tyres. A quick drive should rectify this issue as the heat generated from friction and rotation will smooth out these spots.
