HMRC has named and shamed tax dodgers across the Midlands. The tax authority regularly reveals the names of those who have defaulted on more than £25,000.
It is meant to serve as a warning to those who fail to pay what they owe to the taxman. The list includes details of companies and individuals, how much they failed to pay in tax over a certain period and the their penalty.
Tens of thousands are owed by firms across the region in unpaid tax. The lists are updated every three months and a defaulter’s details are removed after a year.
