How cold it will be where you live as -5C temperatures to hit Wales

Met Office weather maps have shown where it will be at its coldest in Wales today (Wednesday, January 8). The forecast agency has warned that the day will begin with a “cold, bright and frosty start”, but there will be sunshine, which will turn increasingly hazy through the morning.

The Met Office’s forecast for Wednesday warns that there will be thickening cloud in the south by the afternoon, with the chance of some light rain or snow for a time across the far south. “Feeling cold for all,” it adds.

For Wednesday evening, the forecast agency warns it will be cloudy, especially in the south, but then will clear during the early hours. Through the evening, the Met Office predicts it will turn very cold with freezing fog patches, isolated wintry showers and icy stretches.
