Amazon has slashed the price of one of its top-selling massage guns, offering shoppers 41 per cent off.
The massage gun is so popular that it’s been sold more than 10,000 times in the past month, with shoppers rushing to get their hands on it – and as a regular user of the Zerolia Massage Gun, I can see why.
As a writer I spend all day, every day sitting at a desk, and although I try to sit properly, somewhere along the way something must have gone wrong as I have re-occurring shoulder pain that’s plagued me for the past five years.
Originally, I saw a physiotherapist, but after a few sessions they gave me some exercises to do at home and sent me on my way. The pain re-occurred regularly, with the injury flaring up a few times a year, causing me to return to my physio in a bid to curb my pain.
But this wasn’t enough – I knew I needed to do more to look after my body, which is when I decided to take steps to better look after myself. That’s when my partner recommended trying a massage gun – he played a lot of sport and had used them before, always finding them helpful for managing injuries at home.
After doing a little research, I found a massage gun on Amazon that was within my price range and came with more than 5,000 five-star reviews. I paid full price for the Zerolia Massage Gun but it’s currently reduced to £21.07, down from £35.99, with a saving of 41 per cent.
The Zerolia Massage Gun is so popular it’s been ordered 10,000 times in the past month
According to Zerolia, the massage gun “can help awake your muscles, accelerate muscle recovery, relieve muscle pain, reduce lactic acid accumulation, encourage blood flow and improve joints’ flexibility”.
From the moment I put this device to the test, I was hooked. With 30 different vibration levels and 10 massage heads to choose from, it’s a super diverse tool that’s ideal for targeting muscles across your whole body. While I mainly use it for my shoulder pain, I’ve tested it out on various aches and pains and always had really great results.
The massage gun, which comes with a rechargeable battery, boasts a really impressive battery life. I tend to use it twice a week for 15 minutes at a time, with one charge lasting me around six weeks.
Since using this device, I’ve found that my shoulder pain has reduced and flare-ups have become less common. I’ve also noticed that if I stop using the massage gun my shoulder begins to tighten and become painful. I’ve become addicted to it – now I’d be lost without it.
It’s not just me who’s been left impressed by this low-cost massage gun. One shopper said: “Very good and powerful tool for massage. Long battery life, various speeds. Well designed and light weight, many vibration levels, different types heads for different muscles. Highly recommend.”
A second added: “Delighted to get this at a good price compared to when they first came out. Bought for my husband’s birthday and the whole family has been using it! Works very well and easy to use!”
While a third revealed: “This gadget works – it was such an unusual but very appropriate xmas gift after suffering months of sore shoulder and muscle pain since a fall.
“NHS Physio therapy consulted of one telephone consultation after which an email was sent with an attached exercise sheet!! Private professional massage treatments worked, but in the intervening weeks the pain returned and the treatments, whilst excellent are expensive. This handheld gadget really works to alleviate the pain and relax the muscles. Highly recommend.”
Another person said: “As a warehouse operative, my job involves long hours of heavy lifting and repetitive movements, leaving my muscles sore and stiff. This massage gun has been a game-changer! Its powerful percussion relieves tension and speeds up recovery, so I’m ready to go the next day. The adjustable settings and targeted attachments are perfect for working out knots in my shoulders, back, and legs. Durable and easy to use, it’s become an essential part of my routine. Highly recommend it to anyone with a physically demanding job!”
While most shoppers were happy with their purchase, some were left disappointed. One said: “Comes with several different massage heads. The instructions are limited so I would suggest looking up some YouTube videos how to use a massage gun as you can easily hurt yourself with them. The battery indicator shows as 20/40/60/80/99 At first I thought it was not charging as the indicator wasn’t moving up but then suddenly it jumped from 60 to 80.”
Alternatively, if you want to spend a little more, Argos has the HoMedics Novo Mini Massage Gun for £60. Or, you can get the Tamda Massage Gun for £16.14, reduced from £23.99 at Amazon.
