Simon Cowell has been amusing his Britain’s Got Talent colleagues with hilarious antics during the show’s auditions.
The popular ITV talent show is currently filming its auditions in Blackpool, the new location for the 2025 series. Instead of the usual Palladium theatre in London’s West End, the show’s producers decided to move filming to the seaside town.
Simon reportedly agreed to the relocation and joins Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden in determining who progresses to the live shows. The decision to film at Blackpool Winter Gardens was made due to the more vibrant atmosphere it offers, and Simon has already demonstrated this.
The talent show mogul showcased his sense of humour by driving around the town in a gold Volkswagen campervan adorned with a humorous sticker on the driver’s door. Sporting his signature sunglasses and with an arm hanging out of the window, Simon drove the van around town.
The decal on his door featured a cartoon of a person sitting on the toilet with their trousers down, wearing Union Jack socks, reports the Mirror. Simon also roped in his fellow judges for some fun, as they all posed behind a typical seaside photo board.

The judges had a bit of fun as they posed with their heads through a playful cut-out, which depicted Amanda on Simon’s back, portrayed as a donkey, and Alesha carrying a shirtless Bruno. The team also caught up with presenters Ant and Dec in anticipation of the new series of the ITV show.
Simon shared a teaser for what the audience can expect this season, capturing a snapshot of the crowd. Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent resumed earlier in the week after a pause in filming.
The break was due to the tragic passing of former One Direction member Liam Payne, who died at 31 following a fall from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October. Liam had been part of the band formed by Simon during the X Factor in 2010.

Filming for the 2025 series of Britain’s Got Talent had commenced just a week before the incident, and reports suggested that Simon took some time off, with Bruno Tonioli stepping in temporarily. Simon expressed his profound sorrow over Liam’s death and was seen receiving comfort from Liam’s parents at the funeral.
In a heartfelt tribute to Liam, Simon penned: “You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens. Liam, I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you.”
“This is so difficult to put into words right now. I went outside today, and I thought about so many times we had together. I wanted to let you know what I would always say to the thousands of people who would always ask me. What is Liam like? And I would tell them you were kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful, talented, humble, focused. And how much you loved music. And how much love you genuinely had for the fans.”
