Stephen Mulhern is back on our screens tonight as the new series of Dancing on Ice returns. Stephen, 47, will once again be hosting the ITV competition alongside Holly Willoughby after Phillip Schofield’s exit.
The star, who first shot to fame on children’s television and has since hosted popular shows including Catchphrase, You Bet! and Deal or No Deal, has recently faced a tough time after losing his father. Following the difficult loss, Stephen collapsed in a restaurant and was rushed to hospital in November.
His agent revealed that Stephen had undergone a medical procedure earlier in the day that involved an anesthetic, and reportedly had a few drinks after which affected him badly. The TV star keeps much of his personal life under wraps but has previously offered some glimpses into his love life.

In a tongue-in-cheek conversation with The Sun in 2020 concerning his sex life, Stephen’s witty comeback was: “Not enough!”
Additionally, he confided to Celebs Now the following year that it had been about four years since his last date, remarking with some jest: “That makes me sound really sad! I need a life. I need to stop working so much.”
But Stephen has confessed that he doesn’t like the idea of using online dating sites, saying he thought it was a ‘bit weird’ for someone on TV to use them.

Stephen hasn’t been publicly associated with anyone since his relationship with EastEnders actress Emma Barton, who portrays Honey Mitchell on the BBC soap. They reportedly parted ways in 2011.
He later stated that the relationship with the former Strictly Come Dancing star, who was partnered with Anton Du Beke in 2019, had naturally run its course. Stephen was recently the subject of rumours linking him with This Morning star Josie Gibson after they were seen holding hands backstage at Saturday Night Live.
Stephen later addressed the speculation on This Morning, clarifying that there was nothing going on between the pair. He said: “Listen, she didn’t turn up to rehearsals, I held her hand and I showed her where to stand. That is it. Finito!” Speaking to MailOnline, Josie humorously admitted: “I’m in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But, story of my life, I don’t think he loves me.”
