ITV Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan swipes ‘don’t touch me’ after co-star snub

During Tuesday’s edition of Loose Women, Coleen Nolan appeared to be left feeling somewhat overlooked. The panel had been discussing Demi Moore’s speech at the Golden Globes and pondering if past comments have lingering impacts on individuals.

The conversation commenced with Ruth directing a question at Brenda Edwards who shared an experience involving a former boss leading to her job exit. Janet Street Porter chimed in with memories of being critiqued for her accent by her old teachers.

Yet, as the segment came to a close, Ruth failed to ask Coleen for her anecdote. Not one to let it slide, Coleen pointed out: “Oh, you haven’t got time for me, so that’s going to stick with me forever.”

Laughter ensued from the rest of the panel as Ruth admitted: “I didn’t think you’d notice! I was like, I’ve got to get on to the next topic, but she won’t mind.”

Coleen humorously continued: “Yeah, go on, I don’t care, no, don’t talk to me, don’t even touch me”, reports the Liverpool Echo.

It all appeared playful, yet Janet noted it was her return day and already there was light-hearted bickering.

In an ironic twist, when the segment moved to another topic, questioning the extents of support for a child’s passion, Ruth invited Coleen to respond first. Acknowledging the attention, Coleen quipped: “Oh, thank you for asking!”

She then delved into her children’s educational experiences, expressing the importance of nurturing their apparent passions. Recalling her daughter’s stress during GSCEs, Coleen revealed: “She’d been asked since she was 13 at school, ‘What do you want to do?’ she used to cry at home and say, ‘Mum, I don’t know what I want to do and they keep asking me'”.

Coleen recounted advising her daughter to feign certainty in her career choice just to ease the pressure from teachers, contrasting this with her sons’ clarity about their futures. She elaborated: “I always knew Jake was going to be an actor, singer or director, he was just passionate about it. All I said to them was you have to do your exams, so do the best you can.”

Despite her daughter excelling in her exams, Coleen, known for her role on Loose Women, noted that her daughters academic achievements are not requested in job interviews. She also touched upon her own early affinity for music and the encouragement she received.
