Viewers of The Chase expressed their irritation as they urged a contestant to ‘stop’ after picking up on her giggle.
In the episode aired on Friday (January 3), host Bradley Walsh, aged 64, was back on our screens with a fresh set of contestants all hoping to nab a hefty cash prize.
Facing the challenge to outsmart the chaser were Tom from Oxford, Yasmin from Surrey, Mercedes from Blackpool, and Gary from Wigan.
United in their quest, they squared off against Jenny Ryan, better known as The Vixen, testing their trivia prowess with a series of rapid questions.
Yasmin found herself in the spotlight as she chose to play for a low offer of £1,000. Despite giving it her all, she couldn’t outrun The Vixen and bowed out of the game, reports the Mirror.
Her vivacious demeanour became the talking point as viewers observed her chuckling through each question, sparking immediate chatter on social media – previously known as Twitter.

Fans quickly made their feelings known online, with comments such as, “Who’s giggling now? WHO’S GIGGLING NOW? ! ” and “Bet she ain’t giggling now #TheChase.”
One exasperated viewer wrote, “Oh my word, the giggling… Please make it stop #TheChase.”
while another suggested, “Might do better if you listen to the questions rather than stupidly laughing and giggling! ! #TheChase.”
A recent episode saw a contestant make history on the show. Audiences were taken aback when they found out that Margaret, at 92 years old, was the oldest female participant to ever appear on the show.
Margaret shared that she had resided in Cambridgeshire for the last eight years, but due to her husband’s RAF career, they had relocated 33 times. She also disclosed that her son Matthew had previously been a contestant on The Chase and had won £25,000, which motivated her to try her luck.
Bradley Walsh couldn’t hide his surprise at Margaret’s age, highlighting that she was the oldest female contestant the show has ever seen, and praised her for looking so well for her age.
