ITV This Morning’s Alison Hammond ‘poached’ as she lands new show on rival channel

ITV’s Alison Hammond is set to embark on a new career venture as she confirms her role as host of another TV show. The This Morning presenter will be joining forces with her son Aidan for a fresh travel series on BBC Two.

Last summer, it was reported that Alison had been offered a lucrative deal to lead a BBC travel show, named Florida Unpacked. Prior to her rise to fame on Big Brother, Alison made a living as a travel representative.

The Birmingham-born celebrity took to social media to announce the thrilling news, writing: “Florida on a budget with me and my son @aidanhammond555 coming soon on @bbciplayer and bbc2. 27 th Jan @rockoystermedia pic by @rankinarchive.”

In addition to her hosting responsibilities on This Morning, Alison also co-presents The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 alongside Noel Fielding. She joined the programme in 2023 following comedian Matt Lucas’ departure.

But that’s not all – Alison also leads the British reality documentary series, For the Love of Dogs, on ITV. She stepped in for Paul O’Grady after his unexpected death in March 2023, reports the Express.

Alison is a beloved figure on This Morning, regularly appearing as co-host on Friday mornings with Dermot O’Leary. She became a primary presenter in 2021, having initially joined as a reporter in 2002.

As per Leeds Live, Alison’s net worth is estimated to be between £1 million and £4 million, owing to her numerous roles in the entertainment industry.
