During the broadcast of Lorraine on Tuesday (January 14), ITV crew had to intervene in a rather unexpected turn of events involving presenter Andi Peters.
The beloved host Lorraine Kelly was leading into the show’s competition segment when she crossed over to Andi, who was lounging on an enormous inflatable unicorn in a stunning infinity pool with views of the Indian Ocean.
“Let’s re-join our Andi, who is in the Maldives. Oh my god, Andi on a unicorn, come on. It doesn’t get any better than that,” Lorraine enthusiastically introduced.
Yet, the scene became nail-biting as the unicorn float began drifting perilously close to the pool’s brink, prompting a visibly distressed Andi to start yelling out.

“Sorry, I’ve never gone this close to the edge, Lorraine, metaphorically and physically,” Andi called out, to which a concerned Lorraine responded, advising him to “be careful,” reports the Daily Record.
“Can someone just make sure I don’t fall off?” pleaded Andi, a regular on Good Morning Britain, just before a quick-thinking crew member dashed into frame to steer the wayward float from danger.
Visibly relieved to be back from the ledge, Andi caught his breath, while a clearly relieved Lorraine could be seen clapping from the studio.
“Oh, my life! Sorry about that. I genuinely thought I was going off the edge. Right, I’m back now,” Andi said, garnering laughter as he got back to the task at hand.

He then elaborated on the lucrative competition at stake, offering viewers the chance to snag over £140,000 and experience a villa stay complete with an infinity pool in none other than the picturesque Maldives.
Andi joked: “These pools look right out onto the Indian Ocean that you could fall in if you’re on a pink flamingo, but you won’t because you won’t be on a pink flamingo because I’m taking this one home with me and throwing it in the bin.”
He was later corrected by a crew member, who pointed out he was actually on a unicorn, not a flamingo. “I don’t even know my animals! I’m under so much stress right now, and there’s only 10 seconds left!” Andi said.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
