It’s well and truly chilly outside, which brings with it the dreaded early-morning-window-condensation. Luckily, Amazon has discounted a window vac just in time.
Originally £44.99, the Kärcher WV 1 Window Vac is now £39.99 on the site. Elsewhere, you can get the vacuum for £39.99 at Currys and Kärcher and £40 at Argos.
The window vac is designed to absorb moisture from smooth surfaces without leaving marks. It’s ideal for removing water and condensation from windows, mirrors, and tiles.

The vac has an integrated rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 20 minutes. There’s an LED display to show you how much power you’ve got left, and the 0.5kg device holds 100ml of dirty water.
The Kärcher vac has 4.5 stars from 19,341 reviews. One person said: “Fantastic, must have for fight against mouldThis unit is an excellent lightweight utility. Very easy to use and assemble. Noise level is fine. We use it for cleaning horrid condensation off all the windows and water from the bathroom walls by the shower and the shower tray.

“It removes the water in no time and makes a reassuring crackling sucking sound as it swallows up the water and condensation. The only draw back is the maximum level of water that the container can take is not high enough, I’d advise you don’t go over the maximum line before emptying it, as it may leak.
“At first it’s also fiddly to pull out the water container from the unit and undoing the water stopper took me a bit of time to work out (instructions weren’t good for my level of intelligence) you don’t need to force it, like I tried at first, you just need to lightly twist the stopper off and empty the bottle, to get it back on press down on it gently until you hear a clonk sound then twist it to secure it. Apart from these slight annoyances, I highly recommend this unit and so will still give it 5 stars.”

Another wrote “This is the most brilliant device that I have ever bought and it’s cheap! It removes the moisture from windows and cleans them at the same time. It is so easy to use I don’t know why I didn’t buy one years ago!”
“So I get lots of condensation on windows and paper towels or cloths were ineffective,” a third said. “This works great. Sucks up all the condensation without smearing. Easy to charge the battery and empty the water bottle.
“No complaints from me.” Of the negative reviews, one person said “Considering this is a good name, I found it to be totally rubbish. It leaves streaks and most certainly doesn’t clean like it should. So bad I threw it in the bin.”
