Christine Lampard fought back tears as she presented a heartfelt tribute to the late Linda Nolan on Loose Women.
Linda, who bravely battled cancer and was a well-loved part of the panel alongside her sister Coleen Nolan, has died, with the sad news being shared on Wednesday (January 15).
While honouring the former panelist, Christine, emotional, managed to say that Linda “was a beacon of hope and resilience.” She added: “She will be in our thoughts forever.”
Her eyes brimming with tears, Christine announced the sombre news, saying: “Some very sad news for you now.”
Her voice breaking, she stated: “Linda Nolan, Coleen’s sister who was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017, has died at the age of 65.”

After pausing to compose herself, she relayed: “In a statement just released, it is with profound sadness that we announced the passing of Linda Nolan. She passed peacefully with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments.”
Christine added: “Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievement in music and entertainment, she was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others, rest in peace Linda, you will be deeply missed.”
A statement released to the Mirror by agent Dermot McNamara announced Linda’s death, saying: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan, the celebrated Irish pop legend, television personality, Guinness World Record holding West End star, Sunday Times bestselling author and Daily Mirror columnist.”
Linda died peacefully at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. The hospital staff were praised for their tireless efforts in caring for her, reports the Irish Mirror.

The statement continued: “Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others. Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.”
Linda had been battling cancer since 2005, when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She received the all-clear in 2011, but the cancer returned and spread to her brain in 2023.
Her family paid tribute to her on social media, writing: “It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Linda Nolan.
“She faced incurable cancer with courage, grace and determination, inspiring millions. Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully. A pop icon and beacon of hope, Linda will never be forgotten.”
