Love Island icon pulls out of All Stars in savage swipe at ITV show

Love Island’s Anna Vakili has disclosed why she decided not to participate in All Stars, despite initially planning to. The 34 year old TV personality, who shot to fame on the 2019 series of the ITV2 show, became an internet sensation following her ‘Storm Anna’ argument when then-boyfriend Jordan Hames was spotted flirting with India Reynolds – who is currently appearing on All Stars.

Anna, who now co-hosts a podcast called Sisters In The City with her sister Mandy, revealed that she had been set to appear on All Stars this year but changed her mind because: “The kind of man I want to settle down with wouldn’t really want a woman that’s going on Love Island.”

She explained that she had gone through all the necessary preparations for the show, including meetings, drug tests and STD tests. “Don’t get me wrong guys, I was very far down the line to go on there,” she admitted.

However, she eventually chose not to participate as she didn’t believe her ideal partner would be in the villa. “I should be in South Africa right now, on Love Island All Stars, in the warmth in a bikini on TV because I was very close to going on there,” she confessed.

When Mandy asked how she felt about missing out on the opportunity, Anna replied: “I don’t see it as an opportunity, I look at previously Love Island All Stars and I don’t think it did anything for any of them. In terms of me finding someone on there, it’s very very slim.”, reports the Mirror.

The reality star, who experienced a significant financial uplift after her stint on the show, believes returning would be “greedy”. She explained: “It would have not benefited me financially. The kind of man I want to settle down with wouldn’t really want a woman that’s going on Love Island. I feel that’s such a f****** up thing to say but that’s the truth.”

She continued: “For example, when I went on in 2019, I had to go on because we were in a bad financial place. It changed me life, it changed our family’s life, it served its purpose. Going on there now, is just being greedy. The guy that I would want to marry now, would look down on that ‘why you on there snogging different guys in a bikini’. I’m a 34 year old woman.”
