Luke Littler turns up at darts competition in BENIDORM to stun drinkers at pub

Teenage sensation Luke Littler has jetted off to Benidorm for a sunshine break – where he watched his big brother in a darts competition.

The thrifty star flew out on budget airline Ryanair, despite winning £500,000 following his historic World Darts Championship victory last week. ‘The Nuke’, 17, was joined by his parents Lisa and Anthony, along with sister Caitlin and brother Leon, who took his partner and baby.

The holiday comes just a week after his remarkable 7-3 victory against Michael Van Gerwen at London’s Alexandra Palace. While in Spain Luke, who turns 18 in a couple of weeks, visited the Bar Players Sports Bar, in Albir where he watched 21-year-old Leon take part in a darts contest.

The bar posted pictures of the champ on social media, writing: “Last night saw the first darts tournament of 2025 and what a night it was. With a special appearance from the Darts Champion of the World Luke Littler and his family and friends.

“We were very honoured to be in the company of an amazing dart player and person. With Luke’s brother Leon taking part the night was a great one as you can expect.

“All at the Bar Players Sports Bar Albir would like to thank you all for taking time out of your holiday and spending it with us. We wish you all the best for 2025.”

They also thanked all who took part in the contest, saying they hoped they had a great time with Luke and his family. Luke also appeared to surprise a pal while on holiday.

He was filmed walking through a restaurant wearing an inconspicuous grey track bottoms and jumper as they found the table where his pal sat with Luke’s dad. Littler’s friend’s shock was etched all over his face as he took a double glance as the darts star walked over.

The friend immediately stood up and put his hands on his head in disbelief. He then embraced the darts champ and moved to say hello to his Caitlin. The video was posted with “love a good surprise” as a caption.

When he flew out Luke attempted to maintain a low profile at Manchester Airport, wearing his hood up and keeping his earphones in.

One passenger shook his hand after spotting him. They said: “He appeared a bit annoyed that I’d recognised him, so I suggested he was attracting more attention with his hood up,”

The young champion later swapped his hood for his brother’s baseball cap instead. But once on holiday he posted a picture on social media showing the beach at Playa de Albir where he enjoyed temperatures of 20C – compared with -6C and heavy snow in his home town of Warrington, Cheshire.

While on his jollies Luke also asked for an autograph and selfie with pub singer Matt Fisher, a well-known face in the resort. Fisher, 44, who has performed in Benidorm since 1998 and appeared on The X Factor in 2006.

In the past year, Luke has amassed over £1.5million in prize money and secured sponsorship deals with Microsoft and Boohoo. The prodigy has already moved his family into a luxurious new home on a millionaires row in Warrington.
