M6 drivers warned ‘delays building’ after multi-vehicle crash

Drivers have been warned of delays on a West Midlands motorway this morning following a crash. A multi-vehicle crash has been reported on the M6.

The crash has taken place on the northbound carriageway between J14, Stafford, and J15, Hanchurch, in Staffordshire. Traffic has been held back following the collision, with delays buildings.

The incident will affect West Midlands drivers travelling northbound on the motorway. National Highways said that its traffic officers and Staffordshire Police officers are on the scene.

National Highways said on X/Twitter: “Traffic is being held on the #M6 southbound following a multi vehicle collision between J15 #Hanchurch and J14 (near #Stafford). @StaffsPolice and @HighwaysWMIDS #TrafficOfficers on scene. Delays building, we’ll keep you updated.”

In an update, National Highways said that two of four lanes were closed whilst vehicle recovery takes place. The highways agency said there are in excess of 20 minutes of delays for drivers.
