Manhunt launched after woman sexually assaulted in street during robbery

Police have released a CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a sexual assault and robbery in Blackpool.

Officers said a woman was assaulted and had her purse stolen in an alleyway off Lord Street last month. The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Saturday, December 14.

Lancashire Constabulary launched an investigation to find the individual responsible. The force has today (January 10) released CCTV pictures of a man they want to speak to in connection with the alleged attack.

The pictures show a male with cropped dark hair wearing a black vest. Anyone who recognises him is urged to come forward.

In a statement, Blackpool Police said: “Do you recognise this man? We want to trace him as part of our enquiries into a sexual assault and robbery which happened in Blackpool last month.

“A woman was assaulted and had her purse stolen in an alleyway off Lord Street, at around 11.30pm on Saturday 14th December. An investigation has been ongoing since then, and now we are asking for your help to identify the man in the images.
