Dita Von Teese previously spoke out abuse allegations levelled at her former husband Marilyn Manson, saying the claims did not match her own personal experience with the rock star. A new Channel 4 documentary is currently airing exploring the life of the controversial singer.
The three-part series, titled Marilyn Manson: Unmasked, unravels “the shocking story of one of rock music’s most polarising figures”, including recent abuse allegations brought against the singer, which he strongly denies. Manson – whose real name is Brian Warner – has denied the allegations and called them “horrible distortions of reality”.
He said his “intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners”. Addressing the allegations, his ex wife and famous burlesque star Dita Von Teese posted a short statement on Instagram in which she revealed the two reasons she had divorced the star.

In her social media message in 2021, Von Teese wrote: “I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness.
“Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our seven years together as a couple. Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse.
“Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realise yourself.”
Von Teese added that it would be her “sole statement” on the matter. Manson was previously engaged to actress and activist Rose McGowan for two years, but the couple spit in 2001 due to “lifestyle differences”.
