Married At First Sight’s Nathan Campbell has opened up about his split with Lacey Martin. Fans were stunned at news of the pair’s seperation, who were considered one of the strongest couples on the E4 show.
Lacey, 27, and Nathan, 24, had declared their love for each other during the final vows and remained firmly together at the show’s reunion in April. But they quietly parted ways shortly after filming ended.
After their break up was announced, Lacey said that she suspected Nathan was “faking” the romance for the cameras. However, now Nathan has broken his silence on the break-up and revealed that he is in fact the one who has been left “brokenhearted”.

Speaking to The Sun at a showbiz event last night, he revealed the reason behind their split, saying : “Things weren’t the same off the show, it was very different.
“I’d always have to go there, she wouldn’t come to see me – those kind of arguments. I’m not too sure, things were quite different after the show. When you’re together, you’re 100 per cent in the same place. But after the experiment there was a big distance there.”
He also revealed it was Lacey who had called time on the relationship. He also said he was ‘scared to date again’, saying his heart was still broken.
Lacey also spoke to The Sun last night, saying “I left him [Nathan] in 2024, to me this is a new slate. I am single. He’s not worth it. I’m just doing my thing, I believe in the universe, if I’m meant to meet someone then I will.”
She had previously claimed she believed he was ‘faking’ his feelings for her on the show. She claimed he had repeatedly said throughout the experiement that he wanted ‘to be the nice guy’ and questioned why he cared about how he looked.
She added: “He just cared about his image and how he looked and how he would come across rather than what’s right.”
