Australian model and DJ Courtney Mills has tragically passed away at the age of 37 following a balcony fall while on holiday in Kuta, Bali. Courtney was visiting her two dogs on the island when the incident occurred, leading to critical injuries.
Despite being rushed to hospital and undergoing several surgeries, she sadly died days later with her family by her side.
Having lived in Bali for a number of years, Courtney eventually returned to Melbourne to reside with her parents. In a heartfelt tribute to their daughter, her mother Diane Mayne spoke to Nine News, saying: “She was beautiful, big hearted, happy and go lucky.”
Her sister Kiani also shared with the Herald Sun: “The most beautiful thing we have been able to do for the last couple of days is sit and reminisce about the incredible life that she lived and how full her life was.
“She would drive hours and hours just to DJ for one hour. She would fly across the country to do the job she loved so passionately and to her it wasn’t a job, it was a life. Being behind those decks was her sense of freedom and we got to see her light up rooms.”, reports the Mirror.
Courtney was a familiar face in the Melbourne club scene, gracing venues such as Secret Garden, Hotel Barkley, and Motel Eve. Following the news of her untimely death, tributes have poured in from fans and friends mourning the loss of the beloved model and DJ.
In the days leading up to her untimely death, the influencer shared a lively video of herself in a bright pink bikini dancing to ‘Barbie Girl’ with her 150,000 followers, showcasing her seemingly carefree and luxurious lifestyle. Photos of poolside relaxation and sunny beach days were a regular feature on her social media feed.
