Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her decision to participate in the reality show in her new Amazon Prime documentary.
The TV personality and social media influencer shot to fame following the ITV2 dating series in 2019, where she met and coupled up with boxer Tommy Fury. The duo were named runners-up, losing out to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.
While they share a daughter named Bambi, born in 2023, the couple announced their split in August of last year. Now, Molly-Mae is giving fans an unprecedented look into her life post-Love Island in her Amazon Prime documentary.

Molly defended herself, insisting: “I didn’t do anything” but her grandmother countered: “Well, we didn’t know that.” She then apologised for previously labelling her granddaughter as vain.
Later, footage of Molly-Mae preparing for one of her initial fashion events reveals her motivation for participating in the show was to advance her career. She confesses: “I was going on Love Island because I knew the kind of work I was in, it was going to help me. I did go into Love Island as a business move but I did end up finding love.”
Prior to Love Island, Molly-Mae had already been posting sponsored content and collaborating with brands on Instagram. However, her successful TV appearance led to an increase in these partnerships, resulting in her promoting fashion lines and being appointed as a creative director for a major company, a position she held for less than two years.
Molly-Mae: Behind It All episodes 1-3 are streaming on Amazon Prime. The remaining episodes will release in Spring 2025.
