Preen away those thorny January blues with six delightful days of comedy at a brand new Clapham festival.
Rosebuds will showcase a carefully curated arrangement of more than twenty acts who will take to the stage at The Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham Manor Street.
Running from January 28 until February 2, the festival has everything from clowning, musical comedy, and even a one-man-mockumentary.
Featured artists include Sophie Banister with her show, Let Me Be The Cool Aunt, Jess Carrivick with Attention Seeker, Caroline Barton’s Pineapple Princess and Isabella Thompson’s Plaything.
Rosebuds has been organised by comedy company The Defectors, made up of Harrison Cole, Daniel Hemsley and James Darby.
Formed in 2022, the group have previously hosted shows including Defective Inspector (2022) and Defective Inspector: A Stitch in Time (2023), across London venues.
Describing their style as “fresh and punchy” The Defectors work in collaboration with other artists to create comedy that is open to anything and anyone.
