New Heathrow terminal drop-off fares have been introduced for 2025. These will see a 20% increase in the cost for vehicles to enter the terminal drop-off areas.
The new prices were introduced from January 1, 2025. They will see Heathrow’s Terminal Drop-Off Charge increase from £5 to £6.
This will apply every time a vehicle enters the terminal drop-off areas. These are located right outside of each terminal and are the easiest way to drop-off passengers.
All taxis and private-hire vehicles will also need to pay the £6 Terminal Drop-Off Charge each time they enter the Terminal Drop-Off Zones. However, those with valid UK or EEA Blue Badges can apply for a 100% discount even if they don’t drive or own the vehicle.

Vehicle drivers will need to pay their drop-off fees by midnight on the next day. This can be done online or on the phone, or be pre-paid in advance.
Non-payment of the charges will result in a Parking Charge Notice of £80, reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days.
However, there is a free drop-off option available at Heathrow’s Park and Ride car parks – previously known as Long Stay Car Parks. Passengers can take a free bus transfer from these to the terminal.
A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport said: “We understand that not all passengers will welcome this increase, but the Drop-off Charge is an important part of our sustainability strategy and changes behaviour to reduce Heathrow’s environmental impact.
“This charge goes towards funding sustainable transport initiatives while reducing pollution and congestion around the airport. Free drop-off and pick-up options remain available for all terminals at all our long stay car parks.”
