A new store that sells robots that do household tasks for you is set to open in Birmingham. Dreame has announced that it will open on the city’s busy New Street in the former Clarks shoe shop unit.
Signage has gone up at the store, which is at the Bullring end of the shopping street next door to O2. It is the first ‘offline’ store for the retailer, which sells its robot vacuums, mops, high-speed hair dryers and lawnmowers via its website.
Dreame describes itself as ‘one of the leading brands in smart home cleaning’ with products that are ‘meticulously designed to redefine convenience in household innovation and improve our users’ homes’.

An open date for the new store has yet to be announced and signage says ‘coming soon’. Dreame products have been available elsewhere in the region offline, featuring in the Harvey Norman store in Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
On the Dreame website, founder Yu Hao says the business is ‘going strong’. Yu says: “The future holds endless possibilities, including robotic lawnmowers, cordless robotic pool cleaners, and commercial food delivery robots. These are only a few ideas we at Dreame are working toward to bring convenience to everyday life.”
Another store scheduled to open on New Street this year is Gail’s, a London bakery with a number of branches in the south. The Birmingham branch will be its first.
