Only Fools and Horses and Hollyoaks star Diane Langton dies at age 77

Actress Diane Langton, known for her roles in the likes of Hollyoaks and Only Fools and Horses, has passed away at the age of 77. Her agent, Shane Collins, confirmed the sad news on Wednesday (January 15), saying: “I am sad to say that Diane Langton passed away this morning.”

He went on to highlight her illustrious career which began in the 1950s, saying: “Diane had a rich and remarkable career appearing on Stage, in Films, and on television, including playing the iconic Nana Mqueen in Hollyoaks from 2007 to the present day.

“Diane trained at the Corona Academy and started her professional career as a dancer, touring with ballet companies throughout Europe, followed by appearances on That Was the Week That Was and The London Palladium.”

She also had a recurring role as June Snell in the hit comedy Only Fools And Horses, appearing in two episodes in the 1980s.

Later, she transitioned into soap operas, landing the role of Bev Williams in BBC’s EastEnders. In 2007, she took on the role of Nanna McQueen in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, a role she reprised several times until her death, reports the Express.
