A man who headbutted a train passenger on a Birmingham platform is being hunted by police. British Transport Police issued a picture of a man they want to trace as he ‘may have information.’
Police said the victim was attacked by a stranger at Birmingham New Street station. They are appealing for information and believe the man in the picture above could help their investigation.
No arrests have been made and police inquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, police said: “Do you recognise this man? Officers investigating an incident of assault at Birmingham New Street are today releasing this image in connection.
“At around 11pm on Saturday 5 October, a man was waiting for a train on the platform when they were headbutted by a stranger. Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help with their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 105 of 6 October. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
