People say ‘my bed’s never been warmer’ after using £35 Dunelm blanket

Dunelm is offering a bedroom essential guaranteed to keep you warm and snug no matter how cold it is. Plenty of shoppers have turned to electrical devices rather than central heating to combat rising energy bills in the UK.

According to the company, the simple Teddy Electric Blanket promises “unparalleled warmth and comfort” during frosty evenings. Available in-store across the UK or delivered straight to your doorstep for an additional fee, it’s an investment worth considering before the next cold snap hits.

The electric blanket, praised for its convenience, boasts needing “effortless care” with it’s machine washable cover. You can choose from two sizes – the single at £35 or the double at £40.

With nearly impeccable feedback, the product boasts an average rating of 4.8 out of five stars. Dozens of reviews from buyers give it the perfect score, vouching for its “luxurious” nature, reports the Express.

One happy customer wrote: “Excellent quality and works as expected. Very satisfied so far. Not many suppliers out there selling at such value for money.”

Another added: “This electric blanket is better than one of the leading brands which we had on the bed before. I’m not going to drag this out, just buy it and you’ll be surprised at the great quality. Heats up quickly when you get in the bed especially if you preheat it 15 minutes before.”

Another praised: “Lovely! On a cold winter night, it is lovely to get into a warm bed. Easy to operate, dual controls are very useful. Would recommend.”

Someone else claimed they’d had the “best night’s sleep” whilst warming up with the blanket. A further review added: “Reaches the foot of the bed so keeps feet warm. Also you can’t feel the heating elements because it’s padded. Altogether a great buy!”

Another Dunelm customer was just as thrilled, writing: “So good! Honestly, an investment into a good night’s sleep! Very soft, and the different levels of warmth are amazing.”

However, not all feedback was glowing. One dissatisfied customer said: “Comfortable blanket. Not happy with the controls. The light comes on when you set the temp and time, after 15 seconds the light goes out. The blanket stays on and you don’t know whether its on or off. The controller is very sensitive and you can easily move the settings without knowing.”

Another warned: “The instructions say electric blankets should never go under the pillows and never hang over the edge of the mattress – but they are so long it is impossible not to do one of these. Not fit for purpose!”

There are other heated blankets available elsewhere. For instance, Amazon has the TOPS Electric Blanket Single Heated Underblanket starting at just £28, and Debenhams has cut the price of the King Size Sleepy Nights Electric Blanket in its January sale from £144 down to a mere £40.
