Police now believe two suspects on two motorbikes carried out a gun attack on a home in Salford. Three shots were fired at a flat in Little Hulton, leaving two bullet holes in a window and one on the frame beneath.
Detectives are now scrutinising CCTV in a bid to identify the machines used by the pair. The attack is not believed to be linked to any other incident and police are still trying to establish if the gunmen targeted the wrong property by mistake.
The first floor flat in Ellesmere Close off Queen Street which was shot at is understood to be the home of two friends. No one was injured in the incident.

Police were called to the location at 5.55pm on Friday (December 27) after reports of a firearms discharge. The flat is close to the entrance of St Edmunds RC Primary School.
Today (December 30), police said the investigation was ongoing. No arrests have been made and police are still trying to locate the motorbikes used by the attackers.
Residents have told of their shock. One, who asked not to be named, said: “We were in town and when we got back police said there had been gunshots. I’ve lived here for six years and this is a very normal street. I’ve got a 12-year-old son. When I answered the door just now, he told me to be careful. It’s worrying.”
