Police given extra powers in West London ward to prevent crime and disorder on New Year’s Eve

Police have been given extra powers in the Golborne Ward, West London due to persistent anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the area. A section 35 dispersal order has been authorised by Inspector Legg from 3pm today (December 31) through to 3pm tomorrow (January 1).

The area covered can be seen in the map shared by police on X. Police claim the order, authorised under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014, has been put in place after groups of youths have been gathering in the area.

Police claim these youths have been causing ASB and committing crimes. The order is intended to reduce crime and disorder to protect the public who live and work in the area as well as those visiting to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
