An investigation has been launched after a man was discovered with a suspected stab wound on a main Birmingham road. Police and paramedics were called to Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, just after 4pm on Wednesday (January 8), where they found the injured victim.
The 18-year-old was treated at the scene before he was conveyed to hospital. Officers remain at the scene this evening as they try to piece together what happened.
Stratford Road was not closed. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to get in touch with the force.

West Midlands Police said: “We are investigating after a man was found injured in Birmingham this afternoon. We were called to Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, shortly after 4pm today when an 18-year-old man was found injured with what is believed to be a stab wound.
“He has been taken to hospital and our officers are at the scene carrying out further enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened.
