An independent shoe shop is closing next month after almost a decade in Haringey. Daniel Footwear on Muswell Hill Broadway will serve its final customers at the end of January before leaving the bustling shopping street for good.
The reason for the closure is currently unknown. A sign posted on the storefront reads: “After eight years serving this wonderful community, the time has come for us to say goodbye.
“To our loyal customers: Thank you for your support, trust, and friendship over the years.” Started in Leeds in 1993, Daniel Footwear specialises in own-brand and designer shoes, including Jimmy Choo and Coach.
It sold designer brands such as Birkenstock, Marc Jacobs and Valentino

It also sells a range of clothing, bags and accessories for men and women. There are now only three remaining branches in London – Mill Hill, Temple Fortune and Stanmore.
Bosses have confirmed these stores, in Barnet and Harrow, will remain open. Purchases can also be made online.
The sad news comes days after Shoe Zone announced it will be shuttering underperforming shops. The chain, which has 29 branches across London, blamed ‘very challenging trading conditions’ for the decision.
