Michelle Keegan’s return to TV screens has been revealed after she announced she is expecting her first child. The former ITV Coronation street star told fans on Sunday (December 30) that she is pregnant.
In a sweet photo, she announced on social media that she would welcome a baby with husband Mark Wright in 2025. It comes following a busy year career-wise for Michelle, 37.
She starred in Netflix hit Fool Me Once and filmed BBC series Ten Pound Poms. The show, set in Australia, will return to screens next year – and fans can’t wait to see Michelle reprise her role as nurse Kate Thorne.

The pregnant actress shared a picture from the set Down Under earlier this year , Mirror reports. She could be seen holding a clapperboard from the series, sporting 1950s curls peaking out from a polka dot headband, a striped top and high-waisted slacks.
Written and created by BAFTA award-winning Danny Brocklehurst, the series followed a group of people from Britain who migrated to Australia after WW2 in 1957 in the promise of a better life in Australia. Michelle has starred in a number of shows since leaving her role as Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street.
The actress, from Stockport, previously told how she had been quizzed over not having children earlier. She spoke about her sadness over the intrusion.
Michelle said: “It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening. In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that.
“I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it’s no one else’s business.”
