Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are poised for a major comeback 15 years after their last project together. The beloved TV duo, known for sharing the screen with daughter Chloe Madeley, are reportedly launching a brand-new underwear line.
Richard, familiar to viewers as a host on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and his wife Judy have moved to trademark their names for a range of products that’s set to include fragrances, cosmetics, and more. The couple, who first secured the ‘Richard and Judy’ trademark back in 2000 and recently re-applied in December last year, had the application unveiled by the Intellectual Property Office this week.
“Judy’s bra flash was perhaps one of the outstanding moments of their career and may have inspired the couple to consider underwear as an option – and clearly they still think so,” an insider disclosed to the Sun. “But it’s not the only product they’ll be able to put their name on and they could make a mint.”
Having tied the knot in 1986, Richard and Judy became household names co-presenting shows like This Morning and Richard and Judy. While Richard, aged 68, remains active on Good Morning Britain, Judy, 76, has taken a step back from the limelight, reports Birmingham Live.
Their application seems to have lapsed in 2020, but they made a fresh attempt in December. Judy once revealed about their union: “I thought he looked nice. Tall, handsome and all that but I thought the suit was a bit flash. Then, because he was a newbie, I was assigned the job of looking after him.”
The pair later left their previous partners and tied the knot in Manchester four years on. Richard has owned up to multiple affairs during his earlier marriage.
