Since announcing her split from Eamonn Holmes back in May, Ruth Langsford has been on a roll, with a body transformation to be envious of.
Ruth is believed to have shed around a stone and a half in weight since the breakup. The 64-year-old TV presenter’s transformation hasn’t gone unnoticed, with her Instagram followers showering her with compliments.
Laurel Alper, a personal trainer, has weighed in, as she remarked to Woman Magazine: “Ruth looks like she’s slimmed down from a size 16 to 14. She’s probably lost about 1st 7lb – you can really see she’s lost weight across her middle, thighs and face.”

Ruth is open about her weight and diet discussions. Recently, she shared with her fans a glimpse of her “healthier” start to the year, which included a packed lunch of boiled eggs, turkey, and salad.
The Loose Women star also often posts videos making green juice with ingredients like ginger, spinach, cucumber, pineapple, apple, and water. “I take this to work most days,” she told her followers, explaining it helps her avoid unhealthy, processed food, reports Lancs Live.
“This way you get a good, decent portion salad and you get to put all the things you like in it! ENJOY!”.

In addition to her dietary efforts, Ruth aims for 10,000 steps daily with her dog Maggie and enjoys high-intensity workouts.
While she’s always made an effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the mother-of-one confessed on Loose Women that staying in shape has become considerably tougher after menopause. She shared: “I’ve never really had huge problems with weight gain, I’ve been very lucky.”
Additionally, she added: “I like good food so I eat well and I cook, but the weight gain and the shape change in menopause I’ve really struggled with, and I try really hard.”
Post-split from her husband Eamonn, 65, Ruth is understood to be flying solo, while Eamonn has found new love with 42-year-old relationship counsellor Katie Alexander.

During a recent light-hearted segment on Loose Women, Ruth opened up about her divorce for the first time. In a conversation about encountering an ex at family gatherings, she stated: “I think it’s very selfish when you hear parents say, ‘Well if they are divorced then, I’m not coming to your wedding if he’s coming’ or ‘If she is there’ and I just think it’s so selfish isn’t it, because it is their day.”
Fellow panellist Mariella Frostrup chimed in saying: “That’s a whole other subject isn’t it? How to divorce well.”
Ruth humorously responded: “Oh, tell me about it,” causing fits of giggles among those in the studio.
