Ruth Langsford’s alleged plans to host a divorce party could be a significant signal to her ex, Eamonn Holmes, a relationship therapist has claimed. Earlier this month, an insider claimed that the Loose Women presenter is looking forward to “life after divorce” and is excited about new beginnings.
“On the receipt of her being a free woman, she is going to throw a party,” they disclosed to Heat Magazine. “Her best pals have confirmed that she is on the up, while she’s left Eamonn spitting feathers in her wake.”
Eamonn and Ruth, who share a 22 year old son named Jack, are currently navigating through their divorce proceedings after a 14-year marriage.
Since their split was announced in May last year, Eamonn has found love again with Katie Alexander, 42, whereas Ruth, 64, is seemingly still single. Sofie Roos, from Passionerad, says Ruth’s apparent celebratory plans could help her finally heal from this challenging chapter of her life.

She shared: “The party can simply work as a way for her to feel that, ‘Now the divorce is overdone with, it’s time for me to move on’.”
The relationship therapist adds that as Ruth appears to lean on her friends for support during this transition, gathering everyone together in once place could enhance her spirits.
“I actually think it’s a brilliant idea, and even though, for some it might appear as a bit controversial, the idea is not bad at all,” Sofie continued.
“However, a part of me also thinks the party is a way of showing Eamonn that she won’t be having any problems with moving on, just as he did.”
The relationship therapist further claims that Ruth’s decision might also signal to her ex that “she won’t be sitting in their old home looking at pictures of them while wanting him back”.
Instead, she says their previously shared Surrey home could be “a new place for socialising and building new strong relationships,” adding: “I hope she’s doing it for herself!”.
