Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes announced they were in the process of a divorce following 14 years of marriage, back in May.
As fresh reports claim that Ruth is eager to throw a party once the divorce is finalised, their former This Morning colleague Amanda Holden expressed her sadness.
A source told Heat Magazine that the Loose Women star is is eagerly anticipating “life after divorce” and looking forward to new beginnings.
“On the receipt of her being a free woman, she is going to throw a party. Her best pals have confirmed that she is on the up, while she’s left Eamonn spitting feathers in her wake,” they added.
After being informed about the update on Heart Radio this week, Amanda said: “I love both of them, I love Ruth, I love Eamonn, I can’t believe this has happened. It’s like so sad for everyone I think.”
Her co-star Ashley Roberts added: “It’s like mum and dad has broken up to everybody.”
“And they’re both so much fun, especially Ruth,” Amanda added. “She is like the life and soul of a party so if she’s throwing a party, it’s going to be a big one, bless her.”

Since announcing their split, Ruth, 64, has stayed single while Eamonn, 65, has found a new romance with counsellor Katie Alexander, 42.
Earlier reports claimed that the pair were keen to finalise their divorce as soon as possible this year, so that both parties can make a fresh start.
Yet, a relationship expert has warned that fast-tracking the divorce proceedings may lead to less-than-desirable effects.
Chloé Moreau, from ExpertsEnRencontres, said of potential consequences: “Divorce is not just a legal transition – it’s an emotional one, and rushing through the process may leave unresolved feelings or create additional stress.”
Chloé also warned that Eamonn and Ruth need to make certain that the terms of their settlement are fair and reflect both of their needs.
Additionally, she recommended that the former couple handle their separation with “mutual respect” to avoid potential conflicts down the line.
