Rylan Clark has shared that he shed a stone after embarking on a new venture outside of his BBC Radio 2 commitments.
The 36-year-old presenter returned to his Saturday afternoon slot on the radio after a break over the Christmas period. While away, Ryland performed in Jack at the Beanstalk at Southend Cliff Pavilion, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The star confessed he had “never done anything” like a pantomime before. Although Radio 2 journalist Sally Boazman reassure Rylan that he was “brilliant” and an “absolute natural.”

Reflecting on his pantomime stint, Rylan said: “I’ve never done anything like that before. I’ve done a stone, my belly, flat as a pancake.”
Sally complimented his current appearance, remarking: “I think you look great at the moment. I said to you earlier that you look really good. It’s because you’ve got that pinched look.”

Rylan attributed his svelte look to a “post-show glow”, jokingly adding: “Cinched in at the sides, that’s me at the minute. That’s what it’s called, you cinch it around the waist.”
Following his theatrical run, Rylan revealed he flew to Spain for another project, taking the opportunity to enjoy some downtime with his mother Linda. The former X Factor contestant graced the panto stage alongside comedian Aaron James as Silly Simon, actor Neal Wright known for West End hits like Mamma Mia! and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Nic Greenshields who recently played the Lion in The Wizard of Oz. Their final bow was taken on January 5.
