If you’ve been looking for a mop that’s easy to store and works seamlessly to clean your floors, you’re in luck. Amazon is selling a spray mop that has 19,000 five-star reviews from shoppers who say it’s the ‘best mop’ they’ve ever used and a total ‘game-changer’ for their floors.
The Vileda 1-2 Spray Mop , which has been sold over 2,000 times in the past month alone, is currently on sale at Amazon for £22.99, reduced from £38.10, with a saving of over £15. Shoppers say that the mop, which comes with two machine-washable microfiber mop pads, is ideal for corners as the ‘swivelling head makes cleaning corners easy’.
According to Vileda, the 1-2 Spray Mop – which has a rating of 4.6 out of five stars on Amazon – can be used to spray cleaning solution onto the floor in front of the mop head, allowing you to clean the floor without the need for a bucket full of cleaning solution. The cleaning giant also claims that the microfiber mop pad “removes over 99% of bacteria with just water* and no harsh chemicals”.
Shoppers can’t stop raving about the spray mop, with one person revealing: “Best mop I’ve ever had. A game changer. It glides over the floor, you can spray as you go and it goes under cupboards and fridges. And to top it all you can whip the cloth piece off and put it in the washing machine to use again and again. Great value for money. I’ll not have to buy any other type of mop again. Great invention.”
A second person wrote: “Great product, easy to use and very practical. Given that the water tank is in the handle, it requires very little storage space. The pads are available to buy at different retailers; the handle is sturdy enough.”
Another added: “Excellent. Swivelling head makes cleaning corners easy. It is quick, efficient and uses minimal liquid so the floors can be quickly dried. The detachable cleaning surface washes easily and is long lasting.”
A fourth reviewer shared: “I was fed up with mops where the fluid bottle kept flying off. That doesn’t happen with this mop. The fluid tank is integrated into the handle which also makes it less bulky. The mop is easy to use and maneuver. Comes with a spare microfiber head . Recommended.”

However, while most shoppers were pleased with their Vileda 1-2 Spray Mop purchase, some weren’t as impressed. One shopper revealed: “Had one of these for years until it gave out and started leaking – I just assumed the mechanism containing the floor cleaning fluid had given up the ghost so ordered a new one.
“Had current one a couple of months and started leaking again. Use a compatible floor cleaner so a bit disappointed this has happened. Unfortunate as have purchased a number of washable pads I don’t want to bite the bullet to upgrade to the newer (and cheaper?!) version so will begrudgingly buy again and update my review further if this one bites the dust also.”
