A Solihull McDonald’s has reopened after a man was stabbed near the fast food restaurant. The victim, 19, was left fighting for his life after the attack the eatery in Warwick Road, Olton, at around 7.30pm yesterday, January 16.
Police said he was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after paramedics treated him at the scene. Detectives have launched a manhunt to find the knifeman.
Police sealed off Masons Way, near the junction of Warwick Road, following the incident. It remains closed this afternoon.

We understand the McDonald’s restaurant was shut last night after a huge 999 response was pictured outside the establishment. West Midlands Police has urged anyone with information, or dash-cam footage, to contact investigators.

A force spokesperson said: “We’re investigating after a man was found with stab injuries in Solihull yesterday evening. We were called to Masons Way in Olton, Solihull, just before 7.30pm yesterday.
“A 19-year-old man was found injured nearby on Warwick Road. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.
“Our officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened. We also remain at Warwick Road.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on Warwick Road in Olton, Solihull, at 7.31pm last night. An ambulance, two paramedic officers, a critical care paramedic, a doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car from Cosford were sent to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a man with serious injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff before being conveyed under emergency conditions to hospital.”
