Soundcore wireless earbuds down to £16 are ‘comparable to AirPods’

Amazon has knocked up to 47 per cent off a pair of wireless earbuds. Originally £29.99, the soundcore by Anker P20i True Wireless Earbuds are now down as low as £15.99.

The black version of the earbuds are now the cheapest; the blue and white ones are £16.99, while the light blue are £17.09 and the pink are £17.99. You can also get the earbuds for £19.99 on eBay.

The soundcore earbuds promise powerful sound and boosted bass. Through the soundcore app, you can customise the controls and choose from different equaliser presents, as well as find your lost earbuds.

One charge gets you 10 hours of battery life, which extends to 30 with the case. One ten-minute charge adds another two hours of playback time.

The earbuds have 4.4 stars on Amazon from 45,059 reviews. One person said: “Having previously owned AirPods and currently owning the Amazon Echo Buds second gen, these soundcore headphones are comparable in quality. For a fraction of the price, I was shocked as to how good the sound quality was!

“I was kind of expecting a cheap (<£20) plastic-y quality like that of the average Apple wired headphones. The size fit me perfectly but it also comes with different ear tips for comfort. I’ve only received them today so I cannot comment on charging speed or durability but so far, I would 100 per cent recommend these to anyone looking for a relatively cheap pear of earphones that have very good sound quality and a deep bass.”

Another wrote “Great headphones and great price. Sound quality is wonderful. The battery life is something that should be spoken about more. I charge my headphones maybe once a week if that.

“I use them for between 5-8 hours a day and they rarely need charging. This is great for me as I hate putting my headphones in only to discover they are half dead and were charged a day ago.”

“Nice and comfortable fit with good sound quality,” a third wrote. “Easy to connect. Best earphones I have found for under £30.” Of the negative reviews, one person said “They’re very comfy in the ear, but in one 20 minute YouTube video they lost connection 3 times and needed to be repaired, plus ran out of sync the entire time. The app is also a battery hog, though does offer some good functionality and is better than the LG app. I’ll be returning these.”

Alternatively, you can try the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro, which are £169 at Samsung. Elsewhere there’s the JBL Live Pro 2 TWS Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Earbuds, which are £89 at Currys.
