This year Southeastern, Southern and Thameslink are expected to run full services, with little to no engineering work scheduled over the New Year’s period, and with some additional services running during New Year’s Eve from central London.

Southeastern
New Year’s Eve (December 31)
On New Year’s Eve, Southeastern has advised customers that all routes will be open and running.
It will be running a Saturday service with some additional trains running on certain routes.
Extra late-night trains will also run from Charing Cross, London Bridge and Victoria after midnight, however no trains will run from Waterloo East after 11.30pm.
New Year’s Day (January 1)
On New Year’s Day, Southeastern will be running most routes with a Sunday service, except on some routes in Kent where engineering work will be taking place.
On the day, buses will replace trains between the following stations in Kent:
- Folkestone Central and Deal
- Canterbury East and Dover Priory
- Sevenoaks, Maidstone East and Ashford
