Some residents in Stacksteads have been left with no water after a pipe burst on the road.
The issue occurred this morning when a pipe burst on Farholme Lane. Currently, United Utilities are investigating the problem and will send out a team to fix the issue.
As a result, some locals will experience lower or no water pressure from their homes, whilst the team deals with it. Disruption has been caused by the burst pipe, as the Business Centre at Future Park Bacup, will be temporarily closed.
A spokesperson from Rossendale Borough Council said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we await a resolution.”
Updates will be provided by United Utilities and uploaded on to their website. The team are currently looking at the issue, with the website stating: “We’re currently investigating an issue in your area which means you may have no water supply.
“As soon as the issue is identified, we’ll get the right team planned to fix this. We’re really sorry for any inconvenience and hope to have your taps flowing again very soon.”
