Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks has dropped a huge hint regarding his romance with I’m A Celeb’s Maura Higgins.
During a conversation with Celeb’s Go Dating star, Paul Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast, the former TOWIE star gave a rare insight into his relationship with Maura and how it has evolved in recent times.
Saying that he and Maura have known each other for about six years, he was full of compliments for the ex-Love Islander, saying that she is “super intelligent” and “incredibly witty”, as he revealed how their relationship has developed in recent times and what has changed since they first met.
He said: “It’s different now, we spend more time together now than before and I think she’s an incredible person, she was very supportive to me when I was in Strictly and vice versa when she was in the Jungle.”

But, he stopped short of admitting whether they are now romantically involved, despite it being widely accepted that they are, as he added: “Yeah, she’s a great person, so my relationship with her is that I think she’s a great person and I would hope that she thinks that I’m alright.”
Meanwhile, as Pete shared his affection towards Maura, it was just three months ago that the 34-year-old sat down with the podcaster herself and gave a revealing insight of her own.
Professing her feelings towards the TV personality, she said: “Our humour is the same. It’s like that sick, dark humour. It’s very abusive. We abuse each other. Very nasty, hilarious. We just get on very, very well. Very, very well. I adore him, he’s amazing.”
Speculation that the pair have been dating has been circulating for months after a series of hints had surfaced, including Maura posing for a picture with Pete’s best pal, Sam Thompson wearing a t-shirt simply reading ‘We can’t be friends’. Additionally, the pair have also featured in TikTok videos together.
But, their romance was seemingly confirmed after they were snapped sharing a kiss after the Pride of Britain Awards on October 21 last year.
