Officers carried out searches of a car and property

A suspect has been named after what police found in a Ford Fiesta. Officers on patrol in Wirral stopped a car on Sandrock Road in Wallasey at around 2.25pm on Monday, December 30.
Merseyside Police said following a search of the car a quantity of cash, a large amount of suspected wraps of cocaine and a mobile phone were recovered. Officers also found a knuckle duster following a search of a property.
Lewis Langan, of Birchwood Close, Birkenhead, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of criminal property. He was remanded into custody to appear in court in Wirral today, Tuesday, December 31.
