The cheapest 2025 holiday deals from Birmingham Airport ahead of ‘Sunshine Saturday’

The first Saturday of January is typically one of the most popular days of the year to book a summer holiday. Airlines are expecting a surge in sales on January 4, dubbed Sunshine Saturday, though new year sales will continue throughout the month.

Jet2holidays is expecting huge demand for summer, winter 2025-26 and summer 2026 breaks, along with some sun-seekers looking to make last-minute bookings for January, February and March to escape the cold UK weather. The most popular destinations are expected to be the Canary Islands, the Balearics, mainland Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

Italy, Malta, Croatia, France, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Morocco and Portugal are anticipated to rise in popularity this year, with city break hotspots like Athens, Porto, Krakow, Rome, Prague, Budapest and Barcelona also expected to be among the most sought-after.

According to the Post Office Holiday Money Report for 2024, Marmaris in Turkey, Bulgaria’s Sunny Beach, Portugal’s Algarve and Paphos in Cyprus offer holidaymakers the best value, so it’s worth considering these if you’re looking for an affordable getaway.

We’ve sifted through the January sales including EasyJet, TUI, Ryanair and Jet2 to find some of the cheapest deals for 2025 breaks from Birmingham. You can find our top picks below.

Jet2

Jet2’s January sale includes discounts of £100pp on package holidays plus 15% off flights. Jet2holidays is also offering free child places on certain destinations.

Among the best winter deals are flights from BHX to Salzburg or Turin from £26, Rome from £38, Reykjavik from £48 and Krakow from £32. This spring and summer, travellers can fly to Vienna from £26, Porto from £67, Ibiza from £61 and Barcelona from £75.

As for package breaks, a week-long all-inclusive break at the three star plus Aqua Rose Park Club resort in Marrakech from June 6, including 22kg baggage and coach transfers, is £180 off, now £593pp. View the deal here. Ryanair

Ryanair launched its biggest summer sale on Boxing Day with over 10million seats on offer at fares from just £25 one-way. Flights from Birmingham include a £36 round-trip to Berlin in March, last-minute return flights to Paris in January for £43, Barcelona in February for £34 return and Porto in June for £74 return.

On The Beach is offering a seven-day break with Ryanair flights to the three-star-rated htop Planamar resort in Costa Brava from June 10 for £238pp, with the option to upgrade to bed and breakfast, half-board, full board or all-inclusive. EasyJet

EasyJet launched its Big Orange Sale this week, offering up to 20 per cent off across thousands of flights departing between January 6 and December 14, 2025. The sale includes discounted seats on over 1.4 million flights, including travel during the February half-term.

Customers can save up to £400 on their package holidays using code JANSALE before 11pm on February 4. Additional tiered savings include £300 off £3,000 spend, £150 off £1,500 spend, £100 off £800 spend and £50 off £500 spend.
