The Traitors series three finale date has been announced, with a major shake-up confirmed by the bosses. The popular show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, returned last week for its third series.
As the game begins to intensify, the BBC has revealed when the final will be broadcast – and there’s a twist. The finale will air on January 24, but at an earlier time of 8.30pm rather than the usual 9pm time slot.
Following this, a longer version of Ed Gamble’s spin-off show Uncloaked will run from 9.40pm to 10.25pm. In a shocking twist in the latest episode, three previously eliminated contestants made a surprise return.

Birmingham contestant Fozia, Jack and Alexander, who had voluntarily left the train to the castle in the first episode, were brought back into the game via the ‘rail replacement service’. The trio were suspended in the sky and locked in cages as part of the day’s challenge, and were all eligible to re-enter the game.
But one would be dramatically eliminated again. The remaining players were tasked with collecting gold coins to lower the cages of the returning stars. They deposited coins for the contestants they wanted to save, with Fozia being the first to touch ground.
Alexander was next, leaving Jack hanging in the air at the end of the mission. Reacting to the shockingly harsh twist, Jack commented: “I’m gutted but I’m happy for them both. It was a wake-up call as to how brutal The Traitors can be.”
The episode kicked off with the revelation that 25 year old Maia had been “murdered” by The Traitors after exposing her older sister Armani as a Traitor. Doctor Kasim, 33, was later ruthlessly removed from the programme by his fellow contestants at the round table.
The Traitors airs at 9pm from Wednesday to Friday on BBC One and iPlayer.
