A Bradford singer is reaching for the stars as he progresses through auditions for a TV show.
TikTok singer Darren Brown hopes to see success on ITV’s The Voice after passing through the first stage of auditions. Darren, who’s account is called ‘Odinsings’ has nearly 5k followers, has been dubbed ‘look-alike Teddy Swims’ by his fans.
His fans’ support prompted Darren to take the plunge and audition on The Voice, and he has so far passed one round. next, he’ll see the producers and if he is successful, he will be in front of the celebrity judges.
But there’s just one judge Darren has in mind to be his mentor.
The 44-year-old said: “I would chose Tom Jones as he is a legend and If I made it on the show in the blind auditions, I would sing his song – so it would be a perfect fit.
“He is an icon and would be great to work with.
“So far the process has been nerve-wracking but I just dove in head first and have loved it so far.
“There is still one more audition stage with senior producers but I wont find out until March, then I will sing in front of the judges but I am still excited.
“If I win, the hope is to just win a record deal and sing but I wouldn’t give up doing TikTok.”

“I have never had singing lessons, so I’ve been going to karaoke on and off since I can remember.

“There is no personal reason behind it, just think it is good to give something back.
“I would like to give a shout out to all my supporters and mods who help run my loves as well as OMGtalenthub which is an agency for musical creators on TikTok.
