Across England, 61 per cent of Year 6 pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing, and maths during the 2023-24 academic year.
In Greenwich, this figure was higher, with 69 per cent of pupils reaching the benchmark.
These results highlight Greenwich’s strong educational performance, even in the face of earlier disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected pupils and schools differently.
Parents with children starting primary school in September 2025 are reminded to apply for a school place before the January 15, 2025, deadline.
Applications can be submitted online via Greenwich Council’s school admissions portal.
Missing the deadline could result in fewer options for preferred schools, so families are encouraged to act promptly.
